In 2018 I left the comfortable confines of a steady, rewarding career to devote my energies to advocating for those in harm’s way. Since 2019, I have made seven trips to the U.S.-Mexico border to volunteer with organizations helping migrants and asylum seekers pursuing their legal right to seek refuge in the United States.

I will continue to advocate for the oppressed in ways that make the best use of my skills as a journalist, advocate and compassionate human being. As my hero Bryan Stevenson says, we need to become “proximate” to those who suffer to bring about positive change in the world.

Great blog! Thank you for liking “Another Way of Life!” Not sure if you got the chance to check out my most recent post about my friend, Brandye. She is one of 32 people, (myself included) who just filmed a “Reality Show” showing how to live “Another Way Of Life!” If you didn’t you can check it out the first episode just released HERE:http://annalinnehan.com/2013/08/09/meet-my-friend-brandye-dague/

I’ve nominated you for another award, Jim. It’s a new award that just started making the rounds. I think I was in the first batch to receive The Inventive Blogger Award tonight from its originator. Now you are deservedly in the second batch.

Hello, Jim! Mark suggested I check out your blog–wonderful, thought-provoking musings. I wonder if you’re a part of the DWC? Your name is familiar to me. Anyway, great stuff, and I look forward to future posts from you. 🙂

Thank you, Ermine … not sure what DWC is. Mark and I worked together for years at “the big daily,” as he calls it.

Hey Jimbo, Time for more followers. You’re up for the Pierdo Dardos Award, for Artistic Creatitvity in writing. How true that is. After a year of ignoring awards, I was moved to take this one and spread the love. Tag. You deserve it.

Accepting an award again because it’s a dart to the art of creativity

Ah, thank you sir … I might have to pass this time. We have additional good company for the next 3 weeks, from the state of Michigan! (Don’t tell my fellow Buckeyes!) MG’s gallery show opening is Saturday, after Paige’s Butterfly Run where I’ll be calling out times at the 2-mile mark. On the heels of four days in Vermont, I’m having a hard time keeping up with reading, much less writing!
